COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

SMG places a high priority on adding to the quality of life in the areas it serves.  Being an active corporate citizen is an integral part of doing business at SMG. In addition to financial support, the company encourages employee volunteerism.

All requests for funding must be made in writing. The SMG Giving Committee will meet at least four times a year to make funding decision. Requests that are not met will continue to be considered at future meetings.

REQUIREMENTS

- description of the organization
- statement of the organization's objectives and goals
- recent, audited financial statement
- Annual Report; program budget if the request is for a special project
- evidence of 501C(3) status
- complete explanation of the activity
- goals for the program and deadlines for results
- description of benefits
- geographic area served by the grant
