Print

SMG's certified technicians have a combined 30 years of experience servicing copiers and printers. In addition, they have completed more than 300 training courses.

This dedication to training has paid off! In 2018, SMG earned Ricoh’s prestigious Circle of Excellence Award and is a Service Excellence Certified Dealership! The Circle of Excellence award is earned by fewer than 5% of Ricoh Partners nationwide and is designed to recognize superior partners who provide outstanding service and support in accordance with Ricoh’s strict guidelines.

In 2015, SMG Service Technician, William Johnson, was awarded the Ricoh Circle of Excellence Prestige Award. The Prestige Award was designed to recognize those service professionals who demonstrate resourcefulness as well as exceptional levels of knowledge and technical proficiency. William was recognized as one of the top 5% of all technicians nationwide. Additionally, SMG ranked 10% in the Circle of Excellence program overall.

Audio Visual

The audio and video technology in the classroom or conference room can make a big difference with how content is delivered and received. Many times, classrooms and conference rooms are updated as part of construction and are forgotten. SMG has skilled and certified team members to program, install, and train your staff with industry leading equipment. By placing your Audio and Video on a planned life cycle you will always insure an easy to use, state of the art facility.

Computers

Technology Life Cycle Management takes significant project management. Communicating with departments, users, vendors, and installs makes this process time consuming and difficult. However, keeping new technology with modern operating systems is essential to a well-managed fleet. Problem frequencies per asset are significantly lower when all your hardware and software are less than five years old. SMG’s team has created a proven 18 step process for a quality installation. This process ensures that users are involved in the software included on the asset and aware of when their assets will be installed. We image, asset tag, and install every new machine, remove the old, and provide face to face training for each user.

Service Desk Analyst - Cedar Rapids, IA

The Service Desk Analyst will provide remote, phone & email based, first level technical support to staff and faculty. This position requires an aptitude for working with applications/systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution of problems, which may range from straightforward to more complicated technical issues. This position will focus on First Call Resolution (FCR) and as needed will escalate the incident to the Customer Support Technicians and other areas of the Technology Services department.
